How to Submit a Nomination

How employees can browse nomination programs, nominate a colleague for an award, and track their nominations as the program runs.

Who this is for: Employees who have been invited to nominate colleagues in a nomination program.

What you'll achieve

You'll find a nomination program you're eligible for, nominate a colleague you think deserves the award, and know what happens next.

Steps

1. Browse available programs

Open Incentives from the sidebar. You'll see a list of programs your admin has published. Nomination programs are marked with a "Nomination" badge, and each card shows the points winners will receive and how much time is left before nominations close.

If you've already submitted nominations for a program, the card shows your progress β€” for example, "2/5 nominated" if there's a per-person limit.

Only programs you're eligible to nominate in appear here. If you're expecting to see a program and it's missing, your admin may not have included you in the nominator audience.

2. Open a program

Click a program card to see the full details: the program description, points per winner, deadline, your submitted nominations, and (if the admin has enabled it) a list of who has been nominated so far.

The description usually explains what the award recognizes and what makes a strong nomination β€” read it before nominating.

3. Nominate someone

Click Submit nomination at the top of the program page. A form appears with two fields:

  • Nominee β€” Search for and select the person you want to nominate. Only eligible colleagues appear in the list (you won't see yourself or anyone who's already been nominated by you in this program).

  • Reason β€” If the program requires a reason, explain why you're nominating this person. Be specific β€” the review committee reads these when deciding winners. If the reason field is optional, adding one still helps make a stronger case.

Click Submit nomination to confirm.

4. View your nominations

After submitting, your nomination appears in the My nominations section on the program page. Each entry shows who you nominated, when, and the reason you provided.

You can continue nominating other people (up to the program's per-person limit, if one is set). Each nomination must be for a different colleague β€” you can't nominate the same person twice.

What to expect after

Your nomination is submitted directly to the review committee. There's no approval step β€” it simply becomes part of the evidence the committee considers when selecting winners.

After nominations close, the committee reviews all nominees and selects winners. Winners receive their points and a notification. If Program visibility is on, the workspace sees an announcement on the Home feed when the program completes.

You won't be notified about the outcome of your specific nomination, but you'll see the winners announced if the program is visible.

Your name is visible to the committee reviewing nominations, but not to other employees. The nominee list on the program page (if shown) only displays names and counts β€” not who nominated whom.

Common mistakes

The Submit nomination button is greyed out

A few things can cause this. The nominations close date may have passed, the program may have been closed early by an admin, or you've already reached the maximum number of nominations allowed per person. Check the program page for a countdown timer or a "Max reached" badge.

I can't find the person I want to nominate

The nominee picker only shows people who are in the program's eligible nominee audience. If the person you're looking for doesn't appear, they may not be part of the eligible group β€” check with your admin. Also note that committee members and people you've already nominated in this program won't appear in the list.

I nominated the wrong person

Nominations can't be withdrawn after submission. If you made a mistake, let your admin or program manager know β€” they can see all nominations during the review process and take it into account.

I can't find the program I'm looking for

Programs only appear if you're part of the nominator audience and the program is still active. If a program you expected to see isn't listed, it may have already closed or your admin may need to add you to the audience.
