How Program Rewards Work

What to expect when your admin sends you points through an incentive program, when you submit a claim, or when you're involved in a nomination program.

Sometimes your company awards points outside the normal recognition flow β€” through programs run by your admin. These might be project bonuses, seasonal appreciation, learning incentives, nomination awards, or other structured initiatives.

How you receive program points

There are three ways you might receive points from a program, depending on how your admin set it up.

One-off programs

Your admin awards points to a group of people all at once. You don't need to do anything β€” the points appear in your balance automatically and you'll receive a notification (email and/or Slack) with a message explaining what it's for.

Claim-based programs

Your admin publishes a program and you submit a claim to receive points. This is common for things like certification reimbursements, learning goals, or initiative completions where you need to show what you did.

The flow looks like this:

  1. Discover β€” Open Incentives from the main navigation. Programs you're eligible for appear in the list.

  2. Review β€” Open a program to read what it's for, how many points you'll receive, and whether proof is required.

  3. Submit β€” Click Submit Claim and provide any required details or proof (a URL or text explanation).

  4. Wait β€” Your admin reviews the claim. You'll be notified when it's approved or rejected.

  5. Receive β€” Once approved, points are credited to your balance immediately.

You can check the status of your claims anytime from the program detail page.

Nomination programs

Your admin publishes a nomination program and you nominate colleagues you think deserve recognition. A committee reviews all the nominees and selects winners. This is common for awards like Employee of the Quarter, innovation awards, or culture champion recognitions.

You might interact with a nomination program in two ways:

As a nominator, you submit nominations for eligible colleagues:

  1. Discover β€” Open Incentives from the sidebar. Nomination programs you're eligible to participate in appear in the list.

  2. Review β€” Open a program to read what it's for, who can be nominated, and whether a reason is required.

  3. Nominate β€” Click Submit Nomination, pick an eligible colleague, and provide a reason (if required) explaining why they deserve it.

  4. Track β€” Your submissions appear in a My Nominations section on the program page.

As a winner, you receive a notification when the committee selects you. Points are credited to your balance immediately β€” no action needed on your end. When the program is completed, a feed post may celebrate the winners publicly.

You cannot nominate yourself, and you can only nominate the same person once per program.

Where to find your program points

Program points appear in your Earnings balance alongside points from recognitions and celebrations. You can spend them the same way β€” redeem for any available reward in the rewards catalogue.

In your Home feed, program posts show the program name so you can tell them apart from recognition points. Use the Post type β†’ Programs filter if you want to see only program activity.

If you also manage a program

Some people are both eligible for programs and responsible for managing them. If your admin has added you as a program manager, finance member, or committee member, you'll see a My Programs button on the Incentives page. Tapping it switches to a view of programs you're involved in β€” whether that's reviewing claims, checking budgets, or selecting nomination winners β€” without needing to go through the full admin console.

What might block you

A program isn't showing up for me β€” Programs are only visible to eligible users. Your admin defines the audience β€” it might be limited to specific teams, permission groups, or countries. If you believe you should be eligible, check with your admin.

My claim was rejected β€” Your admin reviews each claim individually. If rejected, you'll receive a notification. Check whether the program description specifies what qualifies, and submit a new claim if the program is still open and you haven't hit the claim limit.

The program says "closed" β€” Programs can have deadlines or be closed manually by your admin once they've run their course. Closed programs no longer accept new claims or nominations. If you missed the window, reach out to your admin.

I can't find someone in the nominee list β€” Only people in the nominee audience are eligible to be nominated. Your admin defines this audience separately from the nominator audience. If you think someone should be eligible, check with your admin.

I already nominated someone and can't nominate them again β€” Each person can only be nominated once per program by the same nominator. If you've already nominated someone, your nomination is recorded β€” other colleagues can still nominate the same person to increase their nomination count.
