How to Use PraisePal on Your Phone
Add PraisePal to your phone's home screen for quick access, and learn what you can do on mobile.
Who this is for:
Employees who want to access PraisePal from their phone.
What you'll achieve
You'll add PraisePal to your phone's home screen so you can open it with a single tap — just like any other app. You'll also know exactly what you can do on mobile and where to go if something needs a bigger screen.
What works on your phone
PraisePal works right in your phone's browser — no app store download needed. Everything you do day-to-day is available on mobile:
Browse the feed — see recognitions and celebrations from your team
Give recognition — the full recognition form works on mobile, including points and company values
Redeem rewards — browse gift cards and custom rewards, and redeem directly from your phone
Share recognitions — tap Share on any recognition to send it via your phone's share menu (messaging apps, social media, copy link, etc.)
View profiles — check your own activity and see teammates' recognition history
Admin settings (budgets, workspace configuration, integrations) require a desktop or tablet. If you try to access admin features on your phone, PraisePal will let you know and offer to take you back to the feed.
Steps — Add PraisePal to your home screen
Adding PraisePal to your home screen gives you a dedicated icon that opens straight to your workspace. No need to open a browser and type the address each time.
iPhone or iPad
You can use either Safari or Chrome — both support adding to your home screen.
Using Safari
Open Safari and go to app.praisepal.com.
Tap the Share icon (the square with an upward arrow). On most iPhones it's at the bottom of the screen; on iPads it may be near the top.
Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen.
The name defaults to PraisePal — leave it as-is or adjust it, then tap Add.
Using Chrome
Open Chrome and go to app.praisepal.com.
Tap the Share icon (the square with an upward arrow, to the right of the address bar).
Tap Add to Home Screen.
Name your shortcut and tap Add.
Android
Open Chrome and go to app.praisepal.com.
Tap the menu icon (three dots in the upper-right corner).
Tap Add to Home screen.
Name the shortcut PraisePal and tap Add.
What to expect after
A PraisePal icon appears on your home screen. Tap it to go straight to your workspace — you'll stay logged in as long as your session is active, so most of the time it opens right where you left off.
The icon opens PraisePal in your phone's browser. It works the same way as visiting the site directly, just faster to get to.
Common mistakes
I can't find the "Add to Home Screen" option
I can't find the "Add to Home Screen" option
The option lives inside the Share menu, not the browser's main menu. On Safari, look for the square-with-arrow icon at the bottom of the screen. On Chrome for iPhone, it's to the right of the address bar. On Android Chrome, tap the three-dot menu first, then look for Add to Home screen in the list. If you still don't see it, make sure you're on the PraisePal page (not a blank tab) and that your browser is up to date.
The icon just opens my browser — is that normal?
The icon just opens my browser — is that normal?
Yes. PraisePal is a web app, so tapping the icon opens it in your browser. You get the same experience as visiting the site directly, just without needing to type the address. Everything works the same way.
I keep getting asked to log in
I keep getting asked to log in
This usually happens if your browser clears cookies automatically or you're using private/incognito mode. Switch to a regular browsing window and make sure your browser isn't set to clear site data when you close it. Once that's sorted, PraisePal will remember your session between visits.
I can't access admin settings on my phone

Admin features like budgets, workspace settings, and integrations need a larger screen. Open PraisePal on a desktop or tablet to access those. Everything else — giving recognition, redeeming rewards, browsing the feed — works on your phone.
Pro tips
Use native sharing. When you tap Share on a recognition from your phone, your phone's share menu pops up — so you can send it straight to WhatsApp, Slack, Teams, or wherever your team hangs out. It's faster than copying and pasting a link.
Log in once, stay logged in. After your first login, PraisePal keeps your session active. Bookmark it or add it to your home screen and you'll rarely need to enter your credentials again.
